Nearly 60 people who showed up in April 2002 just after the Tamaroa Maritime Foundation took possession of the Tamaroa. Everyone from former Tamaroa crew, to Navy and Coast Guard vets, as well as other folks interested in the Tam and her history, showed up to lend a hand.

Sad to think how optimistic we all were then, that we would restore the old cutter to her former glory. Not to be, and now they've even taken her name away.
